Semiconductor and FPGA manufacturer Lattice joins the CC-Link Association CLPA. This promotes open automation networks in the sense of Industry 4.0.

EMVA updates terms of use for EMVA 1288 standard and GenICam working group
With the release 4.0 of the EMVA 1288 standard last year, new terms of use came into effect. Now the transition period has expired and all users of the old one have to apply for a new license. In addition, all members of the GenICam working group must re-register after June 30, 2022.
Basler joins 5G alliance

EMVA and Khronos develop open, royalty-free camera API
The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) and the Khronos Group have formed a Khronos Working Group to develop an open, royalty-free API standard for camera system runtime control in the embedded, mobile, industrial, XR, automotive and scientific markets. Now calling on all Khronos members to participate.

EMVA and Khronos gather requirements for embedded standard
The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) and Khronos Group established a joint Embedded Camera API Exploratory Group. The goal is to explore industry interest in creating open, royalty-free API standards for embedded camera and sensors. Participation is open to all interested sensor and camera manufacturers, chip providers, and software developers from the machine vision and sensor industries.
