Soft starters prevent damage and save energy

It includes sizes TSA 5 and 6 for high power applications (470-960 A) and is designed to ensure operational safety and energy efficiency. The 3-phase torque control enables higher starting torque and lower currents. Torque starts and stops as well as vector braking for high inertia loads are suitable for many applications such as pumps, saws, crushers, mixers and centrifuges.

With a starter efficiency from the bypass contactor of more than 99.6 % and the programmability of the soft starter, the TSA offers opportunities for energy saving.

Sizes 5 and 6 can handle heavy loads right from the start, which is necessary for conveyors and crushers, for example. Torque amplification is used to overcome initial torque peaks. The starting capacity is 300% for 30 seconds.

The Emotron TSA softstarter series mainly allows flexibility in operation. It can operate with different start and stop modes, braking functions for quick stopping, a soft brake and a slow speed/jog mode.
