Projection Solution for Dynamic Tool Tracking

The solution projects positions for assembly or rework onto the component with a coloured reference. The worker can then process these with his tool. Once he has reworked a position, the system automatically switches to the next machining step. At the same time, it records important process parameters such as the machining time.

Tool tracking extends the AR system to Extend 3D’s dynamic laser and video projection – both systems interlock seamlessly and ensure one hundred percent machining. The projection shows exactly on the component where the worker has to start, and the tool tracking documents the revision. The manufacturing process can thus be digitally represented from design to quality assurance.
