netRapd 90IC: Embedded module redefines industrial communication in field devices

Photo

With the netRapid 90IC, Hilscher is introducing an embedded module that redefines industrial communication in compact field devices: pluggable instead of soldered, multiprotocol-capable, IIoT-ready, and featuring security-by-design. Using a unified hardware platform, the module supports central networks such as Profinet, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and CC-Link IE Field Basic, as well as IIoT standards like OPC UA and MQTT, simply by changing the firmware.
The module reduces integration effort, minimizes production and service risks, and accelerates the time-to-market for new devices. Based on the netX 90, it combines Secure Boot, CryptoCore, and key and certificate management on a single platform, helping manufacturers align their products early on with future requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act.
