MST Vision: Quality Assurance System PS Advanced

PS Advanced from MST Vision is a surface inspection system based on the photometric stereo method.

By separating texture from topography, PS Advanced enables precise defect detection on complex surfaces. For images captured in motion, the system features encoder-based movement compensation that eliminates motion artifacts at rates of up to 100 parts per second using purely hardware-based methods. With 10 GigE/RDMA camera technology and GPU-based calculation of the 3D height map, the CPU remains largely unaffected. The system can be integrated via the GenICam interface independently of specific software, enabling integrators to effortlessly incorporate PS Advanced as an open solution into existing applications.
