More Sony sensors available for 10GigE camera series

Photo

Sony has once again increased the performance of the global shutter IMX sensors with the Pregius S-Gen4 sensors. Thanks to the BSI (back side illumination) pixel architecture, the electronics are mounted on the back of the sensors and do not further limit the light-sensitive area.

This allows the sensors to achieve better image results with a pixel size of 2.74 µm. The MV-Bluecougar-XT camera series combines the performance of the image sensors with a 10GigE interface and IP67 housing for industrial environments. With a net data rate of 1,245 MB/s, the cameras achieve frame rates of up to 50.5 FPS at 24.6 MP resolution.
