Linear motors with optional water cooling

Photo

The forces of the new linear motors range up to 3700 N peak force with an acceleration of over 200 m/s2. Applications that previously used rather slow spindle drives or inaccurate belt drives can be driven faster with the SL 38, increasing their throughput.

To meet the needs of different industrial applications, the company developed five versions of the SL 38, based on the same basic motor, each adapted to different application requirements. Starting with the component, this is installed either as a "ready-to-use" module or with an anti-rotation mounting plate as a Twin Guide version. For harsh environmental conditions or for use in the food industry, the SL 38 is available as a stainless steel version. This has uniform stainless steel surfaces, hexagonal screw connections and special hygienic seals, which means that a protection class of up to IP69K can be guaranteed. A special feature of all variants is the optional water cooling, which allows the continuous forces of the motors to be doubled.
