Easy camera integration into VisionPro and CVL

IDS is pleased to announce the release of a software interface for Cognex's VisionPro and CVL - Cognex Vision Library. This new interface supports all cameras that make up the uEye family and includes USB and GigE cameras. IDS and Cognex combined efforts in the development of this interface to ensure that all uEye cameras, which are available with resolutions ranging from VGA up to 10 Megapixel, will successfully interface with VisionPro and CVL, and together, provide a powerful vision solution to all customers.

"We are pleased that the entire IDS camera product line has been integrated with Cognex VisionPro software," said John Petry, Vision Software Marketing Manager at Cognex. "IDS offers a wide range of Gigabit Ethernet and USB cameras having many features appreciated by our mutual customers."

Cognex VisionPro is one of the most widely used software tools for industrial vision, and CVL is a very popular image processing library used by developers worldwide to create powerful vision applications in C++.

uEye cameras from IDS are known for their flexibility, performance and superior quality in hardware and software support. With the addition of this new software interface, uEye cameras continue to stand out as one of the most complete lines of USB and GigE cameras that come with the best software support in the industry.

The Cognex interface for the uEye cameras is available for download individually or as part of the latest uEye software package version 3.40.
