DGaO 127th Annual Conference 2026 – Call for papers open until early January
Optics and Measurement Technology Conference to be held for the first time in Hamburg

The annual conference of the German Society for Applied Optics (DGaO) is a fixed date in the calendar of all scientists and researchers from academia and industry who are involved in the fields of optics, optical metrology and photonics.
Contributions on the following key topics in applied optics can be submitted until January 9, 2026:
- Optical metrology and sensor technology
- Optical design
- Optics in production engineering
- Ophthalmology
- Optics in medicine
- Optical instrumentation for large equipment
- Lithography and high-precision optics
- AI methods in optics
- Optical methods in AI
This year's conference will take place from May 26 to 30, 2026, at HAW Hamburg. Every year, it brings together around 250 specialists from research and industry.
As part of the conference, the DGaO Young Scientist Award will once again be presented in 2026 for the best dissertation and the best master's thesis of 2025 in the field of applied optics. Detailed information is available on the DGaO website.
