SWIR Smart Camera Alecs
The Alecs Smart Camera portfolio is now extended with the Sony IMX993 SWIR sensor, a 3.2 MP InGaAs sensor with 2080 × 1544 resolution, global shutter, and a spectral range of 400–1700 nm.

Allied Vision is expanding its Alecs smart camera portfolio with the Sony IMX993 SWIR sensor—a 3.2-MP InGaAs sensor featuring a resolution of 2,080 x 1,544, a global shutter, and a spectral range of 400 to 1,700 nm. When paired with the Nvidia Jetson Orin NX16 board, it is among the first SWIR smart cameras to combine high-resolution SWIR imaging with real-time edge AI directly at the source of the data. The camera is housed in a rugged IP67-rated enclosure. Vibration and shock resistance, along with an operating temperature range of –20 to +65°C, ensure reliable continuous operation. The lens tube glass features a new coating—for optimized transmission across the SWIR wavelength range (advanced coating for improvement of transmission for the entire wavelength range of the IMX993).
The open platform supports any software, from deep learning to classic vision algorithms, and opens up new fields of application in harsh industrial environments. With the Nvidia platform, the Alecs cameras are fully Linux-compatible, allowing users to develop, integrate, and deploy their own machine vision applications.
