Messe München has upgraded the World of Quantum to the world's leading trade fair for quantum technologies. With 160 exhibitors from 16 countries and over 24,200 trade visitors (2025), the event is currently the largest trade fair for quantum technologies. The next edition is planned for June 22-25, 2027 in Munich.
The trade fair addresses the international quantum community from industry, research and start-ups. The focus is on applications of quantum computing, quantum sensor technology and quantum communication, which are increasingly reaching industrial maturity. According to Messe München, the initiative to upgrade the event to a leading trade fair came from the advisory committee from industry and science.
The World of Quantum is embedded in the high-tech strategies of the federal and state governments and is intended to serve as a platform for networking, technology transfer and the market maturity of new applications. A roadshow is planned for 2026, including a speakers panel at the Festival of the Future and a stand and forum slot at electronica.
