Vision & Control turns 30 years

Clean air at all times

Metal processing with lasers and plasma releases many different pollutants into the ambient air. Together with industry partners, the Fraunhofer IWS has developed a system that efficiently removes these substances from the air. The filter can be adapted to the various materials and substances released in each case. In the future, the technology will be used in other applications, such as additive manufacturing.

Dr. Klaus Geißdörfer (47) takes over the chairmanship of the management of the Ebm-Papst Group with headquarters in Mulfingen (Baden-Württemberg). Thomas Wagner (62) takes over the position of deputy again after interim management of the company and as planned in advance. He is supposed to support Geißdörfer with the induction and, in his function as COO, actively accompany the ongoing strategy and transformation process.

SPS 2021: Organizer relies on 3G rule

Taking into account the current Corona regulation of the Bavarian state government, the SPS will take place from November 23-25, 2021 in Nuremberg as a so-called 3G plus event. Fully vaccinated and convalescent people as well as people with a negative PCR test that is no more than 48 hours old are allowed to participate. This regulation enables a largely unrestricted trade fair experience with maximum protection against infection.
