In his new role, he will be responsible for the management and organization of all sales activities with a focus on space. A particular role in his work will be to maintain and expand direct customer contacts. In addition, he will control project management and support the global sales team in an advisory function. “I am pleased to be able to contribute my extensive expertise in optics and space to demanding customer projects while working for Asphericon,” Frambourg says of his new position. In his position on a freelance basis, he reports directly to head of sales Sebastian Henkel.

The graduated optical engineer looks back on more than twenty years of experience in the photonics and aerospace industry. In leading positions, he managed projects for adaptive optics for telescopes, instrument design at the European Southern Observatory and the development of a ground-based test system for satellites, among others. In parallel with his involvement with a world leader in space instrumentation, Frambourg has been a freelance optical engineering manager since 2010. (Source: Asphericon)
