Luca Galluzzi (52) will join the management team of the automation supplier B&R on August 1. He succeeds Peter Gucher as Sales Director, who is going into well-deserved retirement after 34 years at B&R. In his new role as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Galluzzi will be responsible for all B&R sales activities worldwide and will drive the development of new markets. In addition to his new role in the B&R management team, he will continue to be directly responsible for the Southern Europe sales region.

"Luca Galluzzi has done an excellent job in the Southern Europe region and has consistently expanded our business there. I am very pleased that he will now be able to contribute his knowledge and experience as a member of the management team for the entire company", says B&R Managing Director Hans Wimmer.

Gucher started out in a small company and is leaving a large group of companies

Gucher began his career at B&R when the company was a small Upper Austrian start-up with 60 employees. Over the years, he built up an international sales network which now consists of 27 subsidiaries and more than 180 offices. "This global presence and the resulting proximity to customers is the result of Peter Gucher's high level of commitment", says Wimmer. "We are deeply indebted to him for the work he has done and wish him all the best for his well-deserved retirement".
