Nabtesco Expands Service for the Allux 2 Knee Joint in Europe
Maintenance, repairs, and technical support are centrally coordinated through the Düsseldorf location

Nabtesco Precision Europe is taking over service for the Allux 2 knee joint from the Nabtesco Mobility Assist Division for the European market. Maintenance, repairs, and technical support will be centrally coordinated through the Düsseldorf facility. With this move, Nabtesco Precision Europe is expanding its range of services and ensuring continuous support for orthopedic technicians and users.
The Allux 2 is a microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knee joint for individuals with above-knee amputations or knee or hip disarticulations. It combines a four-axis, polycentric mechanism with a microprocessor-controlled hydraulic system to regulate the stance and swing phases. A smartphone app allows users to select various modes, such as cycling, walking, locking, or limiting the flexion angle.
The range of services includes warranty maintenance, repairs, functional tests, and, where available, loaner joints. The relocation to Düsseldorf has significantly reduced service times.
