Leuze plant in Malaysa starts production

After 16 months of construction, Leuze opened its production site in Malacca, Malaysia. From now on, sensors for the local Asian market will be produced there. High demand comes from the electronics, solar and laboratory automation sectors.

With the opening of the site in Malaysia, 85 local worker were hired. By the end of the year, the next expansion stage will employ another 100. More are to follow in the second expansion phase. For this purpose, 7,000 square metres of expansion space are available. The manufacturing and warehouse logistics areas make up the main part of the plant with 4,500 square metres. In addition, there is 1,000 square metres of administrative space.

In order to be able to meet the high global demand for its sensors with a short delivery time, Leuze is expanding its manufacturing capacities by a further 50 percent by the 1st quarter of 2023.
