The AMA Association for Sensor and Measurement Technology has awarded the AMA Innovation Prize 2026 to the Kisa laser measurement system developed by the Lübeck-based company Coher Sense. Developed by Dr. Oliver Lischtschenko, Kisa is designed for the precise characterization of laser radiation in research and industry. The system autonomously measures laser power and wavelength and combines these functions in a compact, industry-ready device. The underlying technology is based on findings from fusion research.

In suitable applications, Kisa is intended to replace complex measurement setups such as Fizeau interferometers, spectrometers, or Fabry–Pérot interferometers. This simplifies existing measurement tasks and opens up new application scenarios for laser diagnostics. The jury particularly highlighted the degree of novelty, the level of innovation, the originality of the technical solution, and its market relevance. The AMA Association makes all submissions available in a freely accessible brochure and is already preparing for the 2027 Innovation Award.
