Excelitas wants to take over PCO
Excelitas Technologies has signed a binding agreement to take over PCO AG from Kelheim. PCO is a privately held company and a developer and manufacturer of high quality scientific CMOS cameras for imaging in biomedical and high-speed industrial applications. Excelitas will acquire 100 percent of the shares in PCO AG from its founder Dr. Emil Ott acquire.
The takeover is expected to take place in the coming weeks. The terms of the transaction will not be disclosed and are subject to customary regulatory approvals. The acquisition of PCO is the latest in a series of strategic acquisitions by Excelitas Technologies since its inception in 2010 and the fourth such expansion since Excelitas was acquired by AEA Investors in December 2017.
Together with its subsidiary Qioptiq, Excelitas has several production facilities in Germany in Feldkirchen, Göttingen, Asslar, Wiesbaden and Regen.
