Congatec changes top management

Congatec and Dr. Dirk Haft has announced a new management team as the new CEO and Daniel Jürgens as the new CFO. Gerhard Edi, currently CTO, will also take on the newly created position of CSO (Chief Strategy Officer). Konrad Garhammer, who previously acted as global director engineering, is moving up to the position of CTO.

The aim of the newly established management team is to accelerate internationalization, to make supply chains even more reliable and efficient and to generate further growth in new markets such as functional safety and critical infrastructures. This requires Congatec to develop new skills in both software and manufacturing.

Dr. Haft brings profound management experience to raise congatec to a new level of growth in the embedded and edge computing market. Jürgens adds international M&A and private equity experience to congatec’s updated management team. Gerhard Edi, co-founder of congatec and veteran of the embedded computing industry, will be responsible as CSO for the future technology and product strategy and further expand strategic partnerships with technology suppliers, partners and customers.

The Congatec advisory board is called Dr. Dirk Haft, Daniel Jürgens and Konrad Garhammer warmly welcome to the management team - as well as their support for the next level of congatec's growth strategy, which aims to further strengthen the company's position as the global market leader in embedded and edge computing. A strategy of accelerated growth will make congatec an even stronger partner for its customers and thereby provide them with even more intensive support in solving their constantly changing technological and business challenges.

Before joining congatec, Daniel Jürgens was CFO at VIA optronics AG, a high-growth high-tech company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The new CTO Konrad Garhammer came to congatec in 2016 from today's Saab Sensor Systems Germany (formerly Saab Medav Technologies). Under the leadership of Gerhard Edi, as Director Engineering, he expanded the global development team to over 100 employees, developed it technologically, set it up in an organizationally agile manner and managed it as Edi's right-hand man.

While Daniel Jürgens has been with Congatec since September 2021, Dr. Dirk Haft started his new role on November 1, 2021. Gerhard Edi and Konrad Garhammer change to their new positions on December 15th. The predecessors, CEO Jason Carlson and CFO Josef Wenzl, will accompany the new management team as Senior Advisors to enable a smooth transition. Last but not least, the advisory board of congatec would like to thank Carlson and Wenzl for their dedication and leadership role, which helped institutionalize Congatec's organization and processes and secure its global leadership position in the field of embedded computing.
