Capture 3D becomes part of the Zeiss Group

Zeiss has confirmed the successfully completed acquisition of Capture 3D. Capture 3D is GOM's sales partner for optical 3D measurement technology in the USA. Upon completion of the transaction, Capture 3D will become part of the Industrial Quality & Research division.

Both Zeiss and Capture 3D have recorded strong growth in recent years and have successfully asserted themselves in the market. The aim is to jointly expand this leading technological position, especially in the field of optical digitization systems. The combination of existing products and solutions as well as future joint new developments should form the basis for the design and development of new markets.

Capture 3D is a US distributor of GOM based in Santa Ana, California. The company, which was founded in 1997, has five locations in the USA with almost 100 employees and already installed over 2,900 systems for customers. From marketing and sales to engineering, automation and support, Capture 3D specializes in GOM technology for various industries. The company offers innovative 3D measurement solutions that enable customers to improve product design, manufacture, quality control and production processes based on reliable data. In fiscal 2019, the company had sales of approximately $ 44 million
