Pressure sensor module for hazardous areas

The new variant of the compact module supports manufacturers in the development of end products for applications in potentially explosive environments. Based on the existing ATEX and IECEx component certificate of the MTF-1, the Ex approval of the entire system is simplified.

The pressure sensor module, which is designed for pressures of up to 1,000 bar, generally has features that also enable it to be used in critical and sensitive applications. Its stainless steel measuring cell is welded to the process connection and is therefore suitable for aggressive media. In addition, the "dry" and seal-free sensor element minimizes the risk of contamination for the medium. In the version with Ex approval, type MTF-1 transmits the measured pressure value via the energy-saving I2C signal. The digital log also outputs a temperature value for the sensor. This information can in turn be used for condition monitoring of the end device.
