Optical precision measurement for vibrations

Vibrations can affect the accuracy of optical measurements, as they cause minimal movement of the measurement object during detection.

The Optocontrol 2700 micrometers from Micro-Epsilon offer a solution to this challenge. With an extremely short exposure time of 8.5 µs, they are ideal for dynamic measurement tasks and deliver precise results even under demanding conditions. The Optocontrol 2700 series is specially designed for measuring vibrating or fast-moving objects and achieves a sampling rate of 15 kHz.

A real-time tilt correction ensures that the internal controller automatically adjusts the measured value, thus avoiding measurement errors. This system enables the precise determination of measured variables such as diameter, gap width and edge position, even at high production speeds. The integrated controller in the receiver reduces cabling and installation work, as no external control unit is required, and the measured values are output via a web interface and digital interfaces.
