Cambrian is an add-on for collaborative and industrial robots. The AI-based solution gives the robot arm human-level capabilities for various manufacturing tasks such as pick-and-place, bin picking, cable insertion, plug insertion, and much more. The solution's hardware consists of two standard 2D cameras in a protective housing and, depending on the application, can be mounted directly on the robot as an end-of-arm solution or stationary above the workstation.

At the heart of Cambrian Vision is AI-based software on a powerful IPC for processing image data. All that is needed is the CAD data of the parts to be processed in order to define the possible pick points. The intelligence of our software then generates a 3D image. This enables the system to achieve a recognition speed of less than 170 ms. The system accuracy is at the sub-millimeter level.
