Macnica ATD Europe is the European subsidiar y of Macnica Inc., one of the world’s largest semiconductor distributors, founded in Yokohama, Japan in 1972. Macnica employs 5,000+ technical specialists and operates 90+ sales offices worldwide. The group entered Europe in 2006, established its German headquarters Macnica GmbH in 2008, and acquired Scantec Mikroelektronik in 2014. In 2020 Macnica strengthened its presence by acquiring ATD Electronique, a French distributor focused on machine-vision components and imaging solutions, creating Macnica ATD Europe. Today, Macnica provides end-to-end support for product development and distribution, backed by a global service network and new AI Technology Solutions.
