A robotic cell processes up to 1,300 items per hour with a gripping accuracy of more than 99.5 percent. The new AI Robot Trainer is expected to reduce engineering effort by up to 75 percent.
ABB has started building a new hall at the Minden location. The new building, a 2,500 square meter production hall for the Traction division, expands production capacities and is intended to contribute to better quality assurance.
Torsten Nolting took over as head of ABB's Electrification business area in Germany on August 1, 2021. He succeeds Uwe Laudenklos, who became Lead Business Area Manager Northern and Central Europe for the same business area on April 1 of this year.
