Edmund Optics acquires Quality Thin Films (QTF)
Edmund Optics has acquired QTF, a company that offers a wide range of optical components with high laser damage thresholds and laser crystal coatings from the UV to the far IR spectrum.

With this acquisition, Edmund Optics will further expand its laser optics manufacturing capabilities in crystal and glass fabrication, polishing, metrology, high laser damage threshold and diamond-like carbon coatings, inspection and testing. QTF's 1,300-square-foot facility is located on the outskirts of Tampa, Florida, and has approximately 30 employees. Many of them are experts in laser optics.
