Opto Engineering revolutionizes 360° inspection of small holes and components with two new state-of-the-art optical solutions!

Inspecting inner surfaces and complex components, such as threaded holes, internal conduits and microcomponent cavities, presents a number of challenges to industry operators.

These include reduced accessibility, complicated lighting, a limited field of view and complex integration into in-line vision systems.

Opto Engineering's new nano hypercentric lenses from HC Series are specifically designed to address these issues, enabling detailed imaging of small objects with unparalleled quality.

The patent-pending 360° view nano hypercentric lenses can inspect cavities with diameters ranging from 0.75 mm up to 10 mm, thanks to their unique optical design and a cylindrical field of view.

The 2 models, designed for 1/3” sensors are available to meet diverse needs: HCN13040 is optimized for the inspection of diameters from 2 to 10 mm while HCN13010 is a highly specialized lens developed for the inspection of diameters from 0.75 to 2 mm.

HCN nano hypercentric lenses have been recognized among the best innovations by the 2025 VSD Innovators Awards.

Visit Opto Engineering at booth B5.208 at Automatica to see a live demonstration of the inspection of a dental screw with an inner diameter of 0.75 mm.
