SVS-Vistek gets a new managing director
25.01.2024 - Robert Franz takes over the CEO position from founder Walter Denk, who is retiring
The founder and CEO of SVS-Vistek, Walter Denk, retired at the end of 2023. The leadership of the camera manufacturer SVS-Vistek will now be taken over by Robert Franz, who has already taken on the role of CEO for the German 2D vision companies within the TKH Group. It is intended to improve the existing collaboration between the TKH 2D vision companies, which include Allied Vision, Chromasens, Euresys, NET and SVS-Vistek. As components of the TKH vision, they have already cooperated under the same roof in various areas in the past. For example, the sales activities led by Björn Krasemann (CSO) and the marketing activities led by Johannes Zurin (Director Business Development & Marketing) for SVS-Vistek and Allied Vision were merged.
The areas of product management, led by Thorsten Schmidt (CPO) and research & development, led by Gerd Reichle (CTO), will continue to be managed in their previous functions in order to maintain existing competitive advantages. However, there will be closer exchange and increased cooperation between the two companies in these activities in order to act in a coordinated manner and exploit synergies. In addition to his previous tasks, Thorsten Schmidt will take on the role of site manager SVS-Vistek for the Gilching site.
There is also a change in the operations area: Due to the retirement of the previous COO of SVS-Vistek, Gerd Völpel, the COO of Allied Vision, Andre Kruse, is now responsible for both companies in this role. Some purchasing tasks will initially be carried out independently, although the first joint activities have already been successfully implemented here. In the next steps, further synergy potential will be analyzed in order to gradually expand the respective functions.
