Preparations begin for the 35th Control
11.11.2022 - The fair will take place in Stuttgart in mid-May 2023
The preparations for the next Control are now in full swing. The trade fair is to take place in Stuttgart from May 9th to 12th, 2023 and will show further developments in the fields of vision technology, image processing, sensor technology as well as measurement and testing technology. The restart of Control 2022 had demonstrated the high regard for this international industry event and its leading trade fair status.
"Control is known throughout the quality assurance industry as an indispensable leading trade fair and is one of the most interesting and important trade fairs of all for many companies," says Fabian Krüger, Control project manager. "Quality assurance in the most varied of forms is a key component of industrial production and is indispensable, so further developments are eagerly awaited." Testing the properties and condition of workpieces and products is just as essential for manufacturing quality as process control. Every manufacturing company, regardless of its size, takes measures to check shape and dimensions, object recognition and position determination, presence checks and completeness checks, internal and external component checks and surface inspection. Production-integrated test processes, supported by artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, have long been part of everyday modern production. At Control 2022, you could see that even small companies can easily get started with AI support. The barriers to entry will continue to fall. Due to the rapid further developments in both technologies and processes, Control in May 2023 is again eagerly awaited.
Quality assurance is a growth industry
Quality control and quality assurance have gained unprecedented importance due to growing automation and digitization, contactless processes and remote services, small batch sizes, zero-defect manufacturing and comprehensive data analysis. Control gives trade visitors everything they need to score points with QS in production and to face the competition successfully. It is important for everyone to be efficient, resource-saving, fast and economical - modern QA measures are fundamental prerequisites for mastering the growing challenges. The industry is therefore working intensively on further developments in everything to do with measuring and testing technology, materials testing, analysis devices, vision technology, image processing, sensor technology, weighing and counting technology and AI-supported software tools. The automation of industrial quality assurance itself brings a number of advantages such as transparency, consistency, cost efficiency and central documentation.
The QS industry is in rapid motion
The field of quality assurance is developing rapidly. For example, because measuring, testing and inspection processes are increasingly integrated components of the production processes and do not take place in specially created measuring environments, the testing processes have to be adapted to the harsh production environments - such as dust, vibrations and time pressure. This entails many challenges for measuring machines and test equipment. The industry is working hard on this. QA in non-industrial areas is also becoming increasingly important and uses image processing, sensors and the corresponding software. More and more possible uses and areas of application are being developed. Traditionally, Control is the appropriate communication and business platform for all of these innovations, and on an international scale it is the most interesting and probably also the largest trade fair for this complex of topics.
