The winners of the inspect award 2024

16.10.2024 - Three winners in each category were chosen from a total of 20 nominations with just as many exciting innovations. The prizes were awarded at Vision show in Stuttgart.

Together with the readers of inspect, the jury of the inspect award 2024 has selected three winners in each category. The inspect team warmly congratulates all the winners.

Special thanks go to the jury who, together with the readers of inspect, selected the six winning products from the numerous submissions and then 20 nominees. The inspect award 2024 jury included: Paul-Gerald Dittrich, Project Manager at Spectronet; Dr. Ronald Müller, Founder and Managing Director of Vision Markets; Anne Wendel, Machine Vision Manager at VDMA; Thomas Lübkemeier, Managing Director of EMVA; Prof. Dr. Michael Heizmann, Professor of Mechatronic Measuring Systems at the Institute for Industrial Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

The Winners of the Vision Category

1st place: Baumer Group with the VCA camera The Baumer VCA industrial cameras are a complete image acquisition solution for industrial image processing. This all-in-one concept of a GigE camera with simultaneous integration of camera, segmented lighting, lens, autofocus and display elements in a small, industrial-grade housing with IP67 protection is new. 2nd place: Autovimation with the hygienic protection and mounting kit for camera systems Autovimation has a complete, hygienic assembly system in its range, consisting of Dolphin and Shark camera and Piranha laser protection housings as well as hygienic feet, 90° elbows and T-pieces for 30 mm tubes. 3rd place: Edmund Optics with the fixed focal length lenses of the UAV series The lenses in the UAV series from Edmund Optics are compact, lightweight and robust. They can withstand temperature fluctuations, shocks and vibrations while maintaining high image quality. (Image: Edmund Optics)

The Winners of the Automation & Control Category

1st place: Hamamatsu Photonics Germany with the UV micro-spectrometer C16767MA Hamamatsu Photonics has developed the compact and inexpensive UV micro spectrometer C16767MA. It can be used to equip smaller and cheaper water quality measuring devices, which can then be installed in large numbers at measuring points on site. (Image: Hamamatsu)
2nd place: Wenglor Sensoric with the laser distance sensors of the P3 series The P3 series laser distance sensors are far more than just a technical update of Wenglor's established CP series. 3rd place: Balluff with the Radarimager 3D imaging system The Radarimager from Balluff is an industrial 3D imaging system.
