Operating profit (Ebitda) shot up by almost 141 percent, landing at 17.4 million euros. Compared to 2019, this was an increase of 61 percent.
The record result was supported by strong market momentum and successes in strategic end markets such as e-mobility and sports & entertainment. In addition, Stemmer Imaging managed to leverage its focused positioning despite global supply constraints.
Change in accounting method for trading standard software licenses
Stemmer Imaging changed its accounting method for trading standard software licenses in the annual and consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2021. The reason for this is a specification of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) . According to this revaluation, Stemmer classifies the aforementioned sales as agent and therefore reports them in sales only in the amount of the gross margin achieved. The revaluation therefore increased sales growth by 0.3 percentage points compared to the previous valuation.
