Schneider Electric receives German Sustainability Award
Company wants to reduce ecological footprint to a minimum in the future
Building on the successes already achieved, the global group, which is represented in Germany with around 4,700 employees, is pursuing a clear strategy to reduce its own ecological footprint to a minimum in the future. At the World Economic Forum 2021, Schneider Electric was named “Most Sustainable Company in the World” by Corporate Knights.
Sustainably successful business
"We are very pleased to have received the German Sustainability Award," emphasizes Christophe de Maistre, Zone President DACH at Schneider Electric. “This also creates an increased awareness from an independent body that digital IoT technologies in particular make an enormously important contribution to socially and economically acceptable climate protection. With our range of hardware and software solutions, we enable our customers and partners to be more successful in the long term. "
Tailored to real estate, industry, data centers and infrastructure, Schneider Electric provides comprehensive ranges of electrotechnical components, controls and software solutions for this purpose. In accordance with environmental policy objectives - such as those formulated in the European Green Deal - this allows data-based optimization of supply chains, manufacturing processes, operations and marketing. Between 2018 and Q3 2021, Schneider solutions saved around 319 million tonnes of CO2 on the customer side. In the consumption-intensive real estate sector, the tech group is now number one in the world when it comes to energy management.
