OptecNet Germany: moving to the capital with a new board
Important decisions for the umbrella organization of nine German regional networks for optical technologies and photonics.
Important resolutions were passed at the most recent general meeting of OptecNet Deutschland e.V.: the association’s headquarters will be officially relocated from Hanover to Berlin in order to further strengthen its proximity to political and economic decision-makers.
There were also changes to the association’s board: Nora Kirsten from the Thuringian photonics network OptoNet e.V. was elected as a new board member and will shape the strategic development of the network together with Dr Andreas Ehrhardt and Dr Adrian Mahlkow.
She succeeds Dr Horst Sickinger from Bayern Photonics, who retired from the OptecNet board after more than twenty years of dedicated service. The members thanked Dr Sickinger for his extraordinary commitment and his significant contribution to the promotion of optical technologies in Germany.
