OptecNet Germany elected new board

The managing directors of Photonics BW and Bayern Photonics were appointed as board members of OptecNet Deutschland at the recent general meeting.

Dr Andreas Ehrhardt and Dr Horst Sickinger follow Thomas Bauer, former chairman of the board of OptecNet Germany and managing director of OptoNet, who has retired from the association as of December 31, 2021.

In the future, OptecNet Deutschland would like to generate new added value for the association members by expanding its range of services and to further develop the non-profit photonics promotion. The sustainable promotion of photonics and quantum technologies is intended to strengthen the competitiveness of the industry and the importance of Germany as a photonics location.

OptecNet Deutschland invites all companies and research institutions in the industry to work closely together within the association and the regional innovation networks.

As an alliance of Spectaris and OptecNet Germany, Photonik Deutschland was launched in 2020 to jointly represent the interests of the high-tech industry at a national and international level and to support the competitiveness of companies and research institutions in Germany through coordinated activities and initiatives. PhotonicsViews is its official publishing medium since April 2021.
