Since 2017, Matrix Vision GmbH has been complementing the Balluff Group in the field of camera-based sensor technology (machine vision). As of October 16th, the company, founded in 1986, is now part of the Balluff brand. Matrix Vision GmbH will be renamed Balluff MV GmbH. Matrix Vision's previous location in Oppenweiler, Baden-Württemberg, will remain as a competence center for image processing. Nothing will change for the approximately 120 employees who are now working for Balluff MV GmbH; there will be no layoffs, as a spokesman for Balluf emphasizes.

What is changing is the product design: from now on, all Vision components are available in a black housing with a white Balluff logo. Because Balluff, as a future manufacturer, will integrate the existing products into its global sales network and online shop, the product names will also be adjusted according to the Balluff nomenclature. Anyone looking for information about the Vision portfolio will find it on the Balluff website from mid-October.
