Hannover Messe Digital Edition 2021 Review
Dr. Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe, summarizes the course of the digital edition of the trade fair as follows: "The response to the digital Hannover Messe has exceeded our expectations. Nevertheless, it has become clear that a digital trade fair cannot replace the magic of a physical event." A conclusion that hardly any participant would disagree with.
After all, with over 10,000 products from around 1,800 exhibitors, there was an incredible amount to see. This is also evidenced by the 700,000 search queries on the trade fair website cited by Deutsche Messe. The presentations at the accompanying conference, which were pleasantly short at between 20 and 30 minutes in length, were also guaranteed to offer something suitable for every attendee thanks to their four-digit number alone.
Hannover Messe 2022 also with digital additions
From these facts, Deutsche Messe drew the conclusion to take the experience gained from two years of digital industry shows into the coming year. Hannover Messe 2022 - which will take place from April 25 to 29 - will have digital elements. However, Köckler does not yet elaborate on what exactly this "hybrid trade fair experience" will entail. However, the digital trade fair platform, once established, will certainly play a central role in it. But then as an accompaniment to a presence event with technical discussions and chance encounters in the hallway and everything else that belongs to a typical trade show day.
