Bringing the global optoelectronic community together

22.09.2023 - Review: China International Optoelectronic Exposition, 6 – 8 September 2023, Shenzhen, China

The world's leading optoelectronic exhibition, CIOE 2023, took place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center with 3,625 exhibitors from all over the world who gathered together to showcase their state-of-the-art products and technologies.

With a record high show areas of 240,000 square meters, CIOE 2023 presented the entire optoelectronic ecosystem with seven concurrent subexpos including Information and Communication Expo, Precision Optics Expo & Camera Expo, Laser Technology & Intelligent Manufacturing Expo, Infrared Application Expo, Intelligent Sensing Expo, Photonics innovation Expo and Display Technology Expo.

Aiming at the hot topics and market demand of the industry, CIOE 2023 brought together more than three thousand leading industry players to showcase the cutting-edge technologies and innovative products for the optoelectronic industry, such as optical chips, optical modules, semiconductor materials and equipment, lens and camera modules, AR/VR, lasers, laser equipment, infrared thermal imaging, 3D imaging sensors, lidar, and display manufacturing equipment.

This year, with China’s re-opening, global business exchanges have returned to the right track, and a large number of international optoelectronic brands have laid out a new international track through CIOE. The event brought together international brands from the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Switzerland, Israel, and others, to showcase innovative optoelectronic technologies and solutions, providing more new ideas for the technological development of industrial and downstream applications. During the three days, CIOE 2023 has attracted a total of 108,063 visitors, including 3,013 international visitors. Compared with 2021, it has an overall increase of 20 %.

Building upon the success of CIOE and adhering to the spirit of opening up leads to development, the organizers build a brand-new platform for leading Chinese enterprises to go global. “Next March we will hold a new expo – Asia Photonics Expo (APE 2024) in Singapore, to help Chinese enterprises explore overseas markets, develop China’s optoelectronic industry, create more industry value. APE will be a high-quality communication, exchange and learning platform for global industry players, which can promote the in-depth communication and business collaboration between the photonics upstream and downstream professionals. It will be your best channel to maximize brand awareness and expand new business frontier,” Eric Yang, vice chairman and secretary general of CIOE shared.
