A total of 574 exhibitors from 35 countries and over 28,000 visitors from around 75 countries came to Munich from 21 to 24 June 20222 to attend the trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics.

Dr Reinhard Pfeiffer, Managing Director of Messe München, draws a positive balance: "It is unbelievable how great the innovation density is in this industry and I am of course very pleased that Automatica was again chosen as a platform by numerous exhibitors." Frank Konrad, Managing Director of Hahn Automation and Chairman of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association, also confirmed that many had sought the opportunity for direct contact and open communication.

The lively exchange was supported by the live demonstrations of products, which, according to the exhibitors, are nevertheless more vivid and comprehensible in a face-to-face event. "Seeing is believing", is how David Reger, CEO and founder of Nura Robotics, sums it up.

Automation and photonics fair take place in parallel

Automatica will return to the starting line as early as next year. The trade fair is changing its rhythm and will thus be held in parallel with Laser World of Photonics in the future. For the first time, both trade fairs will be held simultaneously and under one roof from 27 to 30 June 2023 and every two years thereafter.
