Techspec Compact Telecentric Lenses

Edmund Optics’ Techspec Compact Telecentric Lenses feature an ultra-compact design and provide excellent telecentricity and low distortion – an excellent choice for integration into gauging systems. Their fixed iris and focus make them ideal for implementation into factory floors and assembly lines, as they will remain stationary over time. They are also well-suited for robotics applications.

Large maximum sensor format with excellent telecentricity and low distortion

Edmund Optics’ Techspec Compact Telecentric Lenses are available with a 65 mm primary working distance with primary magnifications of 1x, 2x, 3x and 4x. Lenses with a working distance of 110 mm are offered with primary magnifications of 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x and 2x. All sizes provide a large maximum sensor format of 2/3 inch, distortion of less than 0.2%, and excellent telecentricity of less than 0.2º. All accommodate a C-mount camera mount.

Wide range of applications with OEM pricing
Edmund Optics’ Techspec Compact Telecentric Lenses are perfect for a wide range of tasks from single unit inspection stations to high-volume inspection applications in today’s fast-paced factory environments. These ultra-compact lenses are engineered to provide the specifications that the customer needs and are available for OEM pricing. Edmund Optics’ Techspec Compact Telecentric Lenses are in-stock and available for immediate delivery.

Telecentric lenses offer numerous advantages

Telecentric lenses offer many advantages over their traditional, non-telecentric counterparts. Telecentric lenses provide constant magnification within the entire depth of field with no perspective error (parallax). These lenses optically correct for parallax so that objects remain the same perceived size, independent of their location in space. Typical applications for telecentric lenses include metrology, CCD-based measurement and microlithography.
