The released EyeVision version 2.5 UR will be published on 1st June 2010. Therewith EVT launches one software platform for all hardware platforms - ranging from vision sensors and smart cameras to PC platforms with standard access (GigE, USB, Firewire, Camera Link).

EyeVision 2.5 supports the EyeVision sensors ES800 and ES900, the ES smart cameras 1xxx and 2xxx, PC-systems with camera access (GigE, USB 2.0 and Firewire (IEEE 1394 A/B)), all cameras with DCAM profile, Camera Link cameras as well as analog cameras. Furthermore the systems support all cameras of SVS Vistek, Imaging Solution Group and The Imaging Source. EyeVision 2.5 is released for Windows. Therefore all platforms ranging from W2K to W7 are supported.

Besides a unified software solution for all hardware components EyeVision 2.5 impresses by revised high-speed algorithms which guarantee the user a fast imaging processing for example by high-speed contour correlation. The advancement of the release 2.4 offers the user new features with an increasing usability and an optimized integration in already existing systems. One highlight of the version 2.5 is the Process Designer. The Process Designer allows to position and display camera images and inspection results per drag-and-drop.

The extensive instruction set for optical measurement and testing technology, for error detection, for surface inspection, for pattern matching, for color inspection and for contour inspection permit an realization of many tasks in the range of industrial image processing. The version 2.5 for example possesses optionally the EyePerfect tool which controls the presence, the correctness and the correct size of the objects with one mouse click.

EyeVision 2.5 UR possesses numerous special commands which are in line with the special requirements of different industrial sectors. This includes e.g. the software plug in SolarEye which has been especially developed for the solar industry.

The numerous interfaces range from simple I/O to data transfer to SAP, to ORACLE or to a SQL-data base and allow a simple data connection and data storage. Therewith the results are available in the company anywhere and anytime.
