EyePC Cameras: Compact and Intelligent

The new EyePC camera series by EVT are especially geared to the application area of industrial inspection, machine vision and quality assurance. The system possesses a Gigabyte Ethernet Interface and optionally a Profibus, an Interbus or a CAN Bus Interface is available. Further to the EyeSpector series the intelligent EyePC cameras perfect the spectrum of products of EVT with a multiplicity of CMOS/CCD sensors. The range of products includes monochrome models as well as color models with diverse frame rates and sensor technologies. The resolution of the sensors ranges from 640 x 480 to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. This new series combines a high productivity with high definition and an sensitivity. The software of the EyePC series is compatible with the software of the EyeSpector systems. The user needn't learn new software.

All EyePC cameras are equipped with an Intel 1.6 GHz atom processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB Solid State Disk. Therewith the user has enough processing power in order to solve even complex tasks. The smart cameras run under the operating systems XPe and Linux. But the user interface of the cameras is aligned with XPe. The connection to a PLC can be carried out via four Inputs and four Outputs (24V). In addition to Ethernet and RS232 a USB-Interface is available to the user in order to communicate with the outside world. All EyePC cameras as well as all EyeSpector cameras can be directly identified, programmed and configured by remote control.
