AOS introduces 12 Megapixel Streaming Camera

Promon 12M is a highest resolution high speed streaming system for recording fast phenomena with frame rates of 166 fps and beyond. The camera is based on a powerful CoaXpress interface allowing cable distances of up to 20m (60 feet). For distances exceeding that range, camera and controller can be equipped with fiber optic interface converters, enabling practically unlimited distance between camera and controller. Promon 12M consists of a PC-controller that comes with comprehensive software for parametrization of the camera and piloting of the recording. The same software provides a real time live view during recording. With our high performance PCI Express SSDs, recording times of up to 40min at full speed can be achieved. After recording, the sequences are instantly ready in slow motion playback for visual analysis.

Recorded movies in the native, raw format can be edited and converted to standard formats such as avi, mpeg, jpeg, bmp etc. with only a few mouse clicks. For further analysis, TEMA Starter, a powerful motion analysis tool, can be added at little extra cost. High resolution 3D analysis and synchronization of multiple Promon 12M for phase locked recording cameras are just some of the options this camera system offers. Promon 12M is ideal for high speed motion analysis of large field of views, where exact results are required.
