Split modules for tight spaces

CSM presents a new measurement technology solution for the high-frequency measurement of current, voltage and power directly in high-voltage lines for very tight installation spaces in electric and hybrid vehicles.

The new HV BM Split Modules measure currents and voltages directly in the HV cables and in busbars and thus provide particularly accurate measurement results. Thanks to the compact design, the HV BM Split Modules allow measurements in vehicles even when there is very little space for the measurement technology.

The HV BM split modules use the proven technology of the widely used CSM HV breakout modules, but the split structure allows measurements at measuring points where there is not enough space for the HV breakout modules. Current and voltage sensors (HV SBM – Split Breakout Module) are connected to the measuring module HV SAM (Split Acquisition Module) via shielded, HV-safe sensor cables. This allows decentralized installation in test vehicles between vehicle components, in cable ducts and within components such as e-axles or HV batteries.
