Robust RFID read / write heads with IO-Link

Contrinex Sensor

The read / write heads (SLK) from Contrinex now enable even higher clock rates. The reason for this is new firmware that ensures optimal RFID communication. As a result, the SLK can now also meet extremely demanding requirements.

The robust PBTP plastic housing with degree of protection IP68 / IP69K protects the electronics from adverse environmental conditions in the permissible temperature range of -25 to + 80 ° C. This means that the SLK are not only suitable for outdoor use, but also for use in hygienic applications with WIP or CIP cleaning.

In addition to the user-friendly "Automatic Mode", the SLK offers the operating modes "Scan UID", in which only the user ID is read out, and "Scan Read / Write" in the case of read / write, thanks to the command field in the process data Write access is possible. This saves programming effort in some applications. An integrated transponder history register, in which the transponder and SLK ID and time stamp are stored, facilitates debugging and thus minimizes maintenance. For predictive maintenance, two alarm flags can be set for different parameters, e.g. for the response signal strength indicator (RSSI) or the counter of the time during which a transponder is within range. This improves the availability of the system. In the standard IO mode there are two configurable outputs available, e.g. B. for signals such as “transponder available”, “data transmission OK” or “alarm signals”.
