Keyence is expanding its measuring technology portfolio with another measuring device, so that all components from microscopic up to 10 meters in size can now be easily measured in production. In addition to the LM optical coordinate measuring system, the IM digital measuring projector and the XM digital test station, the WM mobile 3D coordinate measuring machine has been on the German market since September 2020.

This makes it easy to measure large components up to 10 meters. There are no movement restrictions due to the wireless probe. Measurements after assembly, in the machine or of assemblies can be carried out intuitively. Thanks to the mobile design, the time-consuming transport of the components is no longer necessary and you can measure where the component is. The measuring device is ready for use within 3 minutes. The operation of the measuring device is self-explanatory, so that colleagues can also carry out measurements without any prior knowledge of measurement technology.

In addition, a single person can easily take measurements without having to rely on assistance. A 3D CAD comparison and CAD export are also possible. A false color comparison supports the measurement of free-form surfaces and profile tolerances. Another advantage is the automatic documentation of the measurement results in illustrated test reports. Statistics are available at the push of a button.
