Motor feedback system with single cable technology

With the ETL70 in Hiperface DSL digital single-cable technology and the STL70 with Hiperface interface, Sick is launching a new generation of absolutely measuring, linear motor feedback systems.

Both product families are based on a magnetic measuring principle and bring with them a large maximum measuring length, high system accuracy and resolution, and features that are easy to install and commission. Even in a harsh operating environment, the systems are robust, reliable and have a high level of availability. The new generation of devices consists of a sensor head in a compact metal housing and a magnetic tape as a scale. It has been improved on numerous points. A multi-colored status LED visualizes the optimal alignment of the sensor head to the magnetic tape during assembly - tilting and angular deviations are already detected during the installation of a measuring system.

In addition, the sensor independently monitors compliance with the correct distance to the material measure. This can now be up to 0.8 mm - an improved tolerance value that simplifies assembly and ensures reliable operation of the measuring system. The measuring length of both systems is up to 16 m.
