MDE devices with Android 11

Casio Europe

17.05.22 - Casio is upgrading a number of mobile data collection (MDE) devices to Android 11. The IT-G600, IT-G650 and ET-L10 models are now being delivered with the new operating system.

Mobile computers from these series that are already in use can be upgraded with Android 11 by Casio partners or by customers themselves.

The new Android 11 operating system offers a number of innovations that improve the usability of the MDE models IT-G600, IT-G650 and ET-L10 and further simplify the development or adaptation of customer and industry-specific business applications. The new utility can also be used to set up new asset management functions in the devices. In addition, on Android 11, important bug fixes in the areas of security and privacy are pushed directly to mobile computers from Google Play. As a result, they are comprehensively protected thanks to security functions that are always up-to-date. System updates are downloaded automatically when the devices are idle - no reboot required afterwards.
