Low threshold accelerometer

Kistler

Kistler has improved its triaxial accelerometer 8763B050: Its measurement threshold has been reduced from 0.0004 to 0.00029 µg. This makes it particularly suitable for monitoring vibrations. It monitors the vibration in three mutually perpendicular axes.

The measurement threshold determines the smallest possible vibration that is reliably detected by the sensor. Thanks to improved electronics, the threshold value of the 8763B050 is only 0.00029 µg compared to the previous value of 0.0004 µg.

Type 8763B sensors offer a wide frequency range in all three spatial axes, which makes them ideal for dynamic vibration measurements - especially with light structures. The sensor is also characterized by its light, hermetically sealed titanium housing and, thanks to the shear element technology, has a low basic sensitivity to stretching.
