Expanded portfolio of boost cameras for fast data transmission

Rauscher

13.09.2022 – Basler has added eight boost models with CXP-12 interface to its range of CXP-12 cameras and components.

Cameras with CXP-12 interface are suitable for image processing applications that require fast data transmission. The eight CXP-12 camera models of the boost series with one and two channels are equipped with IMX535, IMX536 and IMX537 global shutter CMOS sensors (Sony 4th generation Pregius S) as well as the IMX421 (Sony 3rd generation sensor) and thus have a frame rate of up to 400 fps.

As an SDK platform, the cameras use Basler's pylon camera software suite, which also supports multi-card and multi-camera applications. For this purpose, Basler has developed CXP-12 Interface Cards with 1, 2 and 4 channels, which are specially adapted to the boost cameras and enable configurations with multiple cameras, also as a combination of monochrome and colour sensors.

The high-speed cameras of the boost series are suitable for the inspection of electronic components and semiconductors as well as for applications in the areas of 3D AOI/SPI, traffic engineering and process automation.
