Energy supply systems especially for telescopes

Tsubaki Kabelschlepp

Tsubaki Kabelschlepp has been developing application-specific cable carriers for use in telescopes for many years. They are used, for example, in the steel and plastic energy chain system, which is responsible for rotating the camera and the elevation axis of the LSST (Large Synoptic Survey Telescope) on the Cerro Pachón mountain in Chile at an altitude of over 2,600 meters.

The Totaltrax energy supply systems are used here. These are complete, ready-to-install solutions that are adapted to the requirements and pre-assembled. Upon request, the team from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp can also take over the entire planning and implementation of the line allocation as well as the complete assembly including the guide channel and substructure.

Finally, a well-rehearsed team carries out the installation, commissioning and acceptance or the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) of the energy supply systems, even under rough conditions or at great heights.
